A meeting was called to discuss the additional information we had received and SVCS were there to help point out why they thought changes to the layout where important. It was thought that the height of the Large Hall was not high enough so we suggested “digging” down, we will ask the Architect his thoughts on this. Security is an important factor considering that the paint was stolen when we were “cheering” up the present hall.
The plans are being drawn up and users are being asked for their comments which will be passed to the Architect. Everyone is enthuisastic about this key project for the community.
The committee discussed the proposals for the Park including the new seats and the English Heritage Steps that are in need of repair. I am arranging for a resident to acccompany the Parks dept on their walk round the site.
I attended the meeting the JAR and the YOT projects were discussed.
I attended the bi-monthly meeting where the centre’s progress is discussed, I am still waiting for confirmation that funding will be found for the continued attendance of the Clockhouse residents
I attended a meeting at Denmark Road with officers regarding the crossings, report to be written and passed to other Councillors for their input. There does not seem to be quite enough money this year to proceed with traffic lights.
