The evening was hosted by Helen Young who used to be on the BBC Weather. Jude Simpson read poetry. It was well attended and enjoyable.
Attending Training meeting on Scoping which is part of the scrutiny process. It was well supported by councillors and others and was extremely helpful.
The Carshalton on the Hill residents association had invited local residents and interested parties to attend a meeting to elect a new committee. A new Committee was formed, which I am part of, and they will meet again on the 11th November. Bill Wyatt from the Parks dept will help to inaugurate.
Wednesday Group Meeting Church of Good Shepherd AGM the new committee were elected and one new member, and ideas for the next year’s programme were discussed.
Health & Well Being Committee 7.30. This committee has a large portfolio and it takes a bit of getting use to.
I had been invited to join the committee of the Carshalton South Day Centre. I mentioned about the residents of Clockhouse wanting to attend the centre but no funding. I hope something can be arranged soon.
I have been a member for over 25 years. I do not regularly attend as I very often have Council meetings on the 1st Thursday of each month, but it is good to catch up with old friends. We also had a Diamond Wedding to celebrate as well as the speaker with Special Postcards. It is my Mum’s birthday today. Happy Birthday Mum
