I was invited to help at this fete, where I ran the Picture and Mirror stool, selling everything I could. Dr Ken Andrew came along and Pamela took photographs. We met the chairman and I have been invited to go along to their committee meeting on 12th September.
Met with Mrs Veronica Kelly, who kindly invited me to lunch. We visited the Children’s Restbite unit.
I attended the Hall’s committee meeting. They still haven’t heard from AMSCAG regarding the extension of their lease. They were undertaking more fundraising, they were having a book and Bric-a-Brac sale outside on Saturdays to raise money.
Tim and myself helped Hillcrest Hall committee members to all on residents to chase up surveys. It was a great success as we were able to speak to residents and discover further problems that we can assist with.
Met with Jane, the owner. Her premises are not large enough and she had written to Nigel Simms to ask if any room would be available on the school site should they move to Orchard Hill. As he had not replied I chased him up and he said he will reply to her.
