WESTCROFT TOUR

I met up with Maxine Alexander at Westcroft to view facilities there. Fitness centre has been added and it was in full swing at the time of my visit.

I have started swimming once a week with my sister in law at Westcroft.

WEDNESDAY GROUP LONDON WILDCARE

As this was held on Ash Wednesday we took part in Holy Communion before the meeting.

An interesting talk from Ted with a slide show he brought along two fox cubs only two weeks old.

FAITH FORUM GENERAL MEETING

I attended this meeting with guest speaker Robert Reed Sutton’s Borough Commander. He showed a video of youths and gun crime it was a bit of shock to all I think. We split into groups and discussed how to tackle youth crime.

ALLOTMENT HOLDERS MEETING

Tuesday, February 13th, 2007

I attended this meeting along with Tim,Mavis Peart chaired it, the hall was packed. I had been along to the allotment site a couple of weeks ago one Sunday morning, it was a wonderful place to stand and listen to the birds, I met up with three holders and chatted about their plots. On my way out I noticed fly tipping in the bridleway from Fir Tree Close, see photos. Reported to the council.

REVIEW MEETING NHS

Attended a meeting at the Holiday Inn. re siting of Critical Care Hospital, it seems like we are going back to cottage hospital era.

I visited the site and spoke to Residents in Cranfield Road West as well as Sandown Drive.

Fence Problem

SAFER NEIGHBOURHOOD POLICE PARTNERSHIP

Overnight we had heavy snow fall, see the photo attached. This meeting was held at the Police Station in Sutton, what a warren of offices! It is a good make up of residents. We were shown details of local crime. Speed checks have been set up in Staplehurst and Stanley Park Road. Yobs are still a problem in Stanley Park and Clockhouse.

FLY TIPPING IN FIR TREE GROVE

I reported this fly tipping and the council removed it. It took longer to remove as it had to be handled correctly as it had asbestos amongst it.
